Early January 2008
Jerri Beck joined Johnson Auto Body, Inc. Mrs. Beck handles all estimating and ordering of parts in addition to a myriad of duties holding the office together. This freed Rosie from the day-to-day estimating and allowed her to concentrate on the overall efficiency of the business.
The sisters - Rosie and Raylene - still fulfill their roles in the office.
December 2007
At this time the automotive industry had a shortage of qualified technicians, and a month of searching for new workers passed unfruitfully. Mr. Johnson was looking for technicians who were committed to the industry for life. Only then would he take the time to train someone so as not to waste time. That training would cover the decades of knowledge he had accrued.
A month after Mr. Crawford's departure, Shannon Young also left the company. Therefore, just before the 2008 New Year, in addition to the paint department dwindling to one man, Johnson Auto Body, Inc. was also left with only one autobody technician, Ken Sayball. Business, still moving, remained constant. But the responsibility for repairing multiple vehicles per week fell squarely on Mr. Sayball, Mr. McGee, and Mr. Johnson. To continue to finish vehicles on time and at a high quality (the standard demanded by Mr. Johnson) required hours of extra work and energy.
November 2007
Adam Crawford left the company just before Thanksgiving. This left Todd McGee without a painter's helper, so for a few weeks/months Mr. McGee was responible for all of the paint preparations unless helped by Mr. Johnson. This included blocking the vehicle, prepping it, sanding it, blowing it off, cleaning it taping it. After preparing vehicles pre-refinish and sanding all repaired areas and blend-panels in this way, Mr. McGee then re-became the painter, mixing the paint and shooting the car.
2006
Shannon Young became the latest member of the JAB, Inc. staff as a technician. Shannon has 10 years of experience as an auto body technician and previously worked at Classic Automotive (Manasses, VA), Suburban Auto Body (Fredricksburg, VA), and Triangle Front End & Frame (Triangle, VA).
2005
Timothy Johnson joined Johnson Auto Body, Inc., with his parents Rosie and Mike. Timothy designed the website (http://johnsonautobodyinc.com),
brochure, and heads the marketing for the shop.
2003
Julie Lyons joined the company in the parts department. Julie researched parts prices, ordered parts, provided customer service, and provided other crucial functions to help make sure the cars that came in left on time. Julie accepted a position with Carolina Automotive Refinishing Supply in 2006.
2000
Todd McGee joined Johnson Auto Body, Inc. as the full-time painter. Todd has over a decade of experience as a master painter.

1998
Raylene Buttry, Rosie Johnson's sister, came aboard.
Raylene handles the accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll in addition to assisting with the daily operations of the shop such as customer service, parts researching, and insurance accounts.
Raylene also keeps the books for Oliver & Delaney PA, Triangle Abstracting, and Union Title Inc.
1997
Ken Sayball joined Johnson Auto Body, Inc. in 1997 after relocating from New
Hampshire with Mike and Rosie Johnson.
Kenny works as a technician and has nearly two decades of auto body experience, including Johnson Auto Body, Inc., Leith Body Shop, Paragon, and Tri Nordic Toyota (in Vermont).
Kenny's skills increased the production of Johnson Auto Body, Inc. He is the number one technician of the firm.
Mike initially handled all repairs and paint work while Rosie handled the customer service, public relations, and the parts department.
Rosie began her career in 1996 that, 10 years later, leaves her as an authority on the repair process, insurance companies, parts, etc. She is an expert on insurance company standards and the automotive industry, and customers/dealerships often call to ask her questions and solicit her opinion.
1996
Upon relocating to Knightdale, North Carolina, Mr. Johnson again established the shop and worked alone for 1/4 of a year, after which he was joined by Rosie Johnson, his wife. The original location was off Highway 64 near the Neuse River Bridge and was expanded three times to accommodate the growth.
1983
Mr. Johnson built his first full-service collision repair center in Canaan and adopted the name Johnson Auto Body. He did the painting, body work and all other aspects of a fully-functioning auto body shop despite having no help.
1977
Mike Johnson founded Johnson Auto Body, Inc. in Canaan, New Hampshire as a one-man operation under the name of Restoration Auto Body.Mr. Johnson completed a four-year tour of duty with the US Navy prior to this.
