1977
Mike JohnsonMike Johnson founded Johnson Auto Body, Inc. in Canaan, New Hampshire as a one-man operation under the name of Restoration Auto Body.Mr. Johnson completed a four-year tour of duty with the US Navy prior to this.

Mr. Johnson built his first full-service collision repair center in Canaan and adopted the name Johnson Auto Body. He did the painting, body work and all other aspects of a fully-functioning auto body shop despite having no help.

 


Rosie Johnson1996
Upon relocating to Knightdale, North Carolina, Mr. Johnson again established the shop and worked alone for 1/4 of a year, after which he was joined by Rosie Johnson, his wife. The original location was off Highway 64 near the Neuse River Bridge and was expanded three times to accommodate the growth.

Rosie began her career in 1996 that, 10 years later, leaves her as an authority on the repair process, insurance companies, parts, etc. She is an expert on insurance company standards and the automotive industry, and customers/dealerships often call to ask her questions and solicit her opinion.

Mike initially handled all repairs and paint work while Rosie handled the customer service, public relations, and the parts department.


1997
Kenny SayballKen Sayball joined Johnson Auto Body, Inc. in 1997 after relocating from New Hampshire with Mike and Rosie Johnson.

Kenny works as a technician and has 14 years of auto body experience, including Johnson Auto Body, Inc., Leith Body Shop, Paragon, and Tri Nordic Toyota (in Vermont).

Kenny added his skills with Mike's to increase the production of Johnson Auto Body, Inc.

Raylene Buttry 

1998
Raylene Buttry, Rosie Johnson's sister, came aboard. Raylene handles the accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll in addition to assisting with the daily operations of the shop such as customer service, parts researching, and insurance accounts.

Raylene also keeps the books for Oliver & Delaney PA, Triangle Abstracting, and Union Title Inc.

2000
Todd McGee joined Johnson Auto Body, Inc. as the full-time painter. Todd has nine years of experience as a master painter.

2001
A new 11,300 square foot facility was built for Johnson Auto Body, Inc. The new shop includes a fenced-in security area capable of storing 40 vehicles. The equipment in the new shop is constantly being updated.

2003
Julie Lyons joined the company in the parts department. Julie researched parts prices, ordered parts, provided customer service, and provided other crucial functions to help make sure the cars that came in left on time. Julie accepted a position with Carolina Automotive Refinishing Supply in 2006.

2005
Timothy Johnson joined Johnson Auto Body, Inc., with his parents Rosie and Mike. Timothy designed the website (http://johnsonautobodyinc.com), brochure, and heads the marketing for the shop.

Shannon Young2006
Shannon Young became the latest member of the JAB, Inc. staff as a technician. Shannon has 10 years of experience as an auto body technician and previously worked at Classic Automotive (Manasses, VA), Suburban Auto Body (Fredricksburg, VA), and Triangle Front End & Frame (Triangle, VA).
